Iceland
Iceland is a wild and sublime country. In August 2019, I went with a group of photographers organized by the Leica Store Miami on a journey to the Highlands and the South Coast. We avoided some of the most visited waterfalls, and spent a good deal of time driving on one-lane dirt roads, crossing rivers without bridges. The topography ranged from lush river valleys to an approximation of the surface of Mars, sometimes within minutes.
The pictures are chronological and reflect the path our journey took. I should note that the color of the water hasn’t been enhanced — it really is this blue. It’s my hope that these images here offer a flavor for what a beautiful, thrilling country this is.
All images taken with the Leica SL and either the 16-35, 24-90, or 90-280 SL lenses.
